Goal & Opportunity

We wanted Pulse to feel more cohesive to the LinkedIn family, while striking maintaining its product identity and as a news and RSS aggregator. We also wanted to improve how users discover and read based on LinkedIn’s unique data.

User Research & Explorations
Users don’t have a lot of time or attention to commit when on a mobile device
Logins and signs up can be daunting especially when users are prompted to give personal information
Some users have yet to see the value in LinkedIn


After launching, the new LinkedIn Pulse app received 4-star ratings and was recommended in the Apple App Store.
